Attention all hands,
Team Three will now deploy to the island of Sahrani for our first deployment of 2015. Working closely with Carrier Strike Group Three (CSG-3) and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit out of the USS Essex (LHD-2), our team will be strategically utilized throughout this campaign in order to ensure mission success.
Ocean Shade OP-01
Situation
As our strike group approaches Sahrani, the need of a forward operating base for the MEU and other supporting assets have become more apparent. A plan to amphibiously assault and capture the island of Rahmadi has been put into motion. In order to assure the success of the assault, Team Three is tasked with a hydrographic reconnaissance of the surrounding waters of the island.
Mission
- Infiltrate and survey the surrounding waters of Rahmadi. Record all activities and naval mines placements on a SALUTE report.
- In case an elevated position can be secured with little to no opposition, without risking exposing the team, make landfall and observe further into the island.
Ocean Shade OP-02
Situation
As CSG-3 and the 15th MEU are commencing their assault on Rahmadi, team 3 will be tasked with securing an oil storage facility in the town of Cayo just south of Paraiso. It is believed to have a large amount of stored oil that the SLA will most likely dispose of during the attack. In order to prevent a catastrophic environmental disaster the team must infiltrate and secure the facility.
Mission
- Assault and secure the oil storage facility.
- Search the surrounding pumping units for explosives.
Ocean Shade OP-03
Situation
As Marines begin their fight on the Cayo oil fields and surrounding cities, the town of San Peregrino is believed to have active Anti-Air operating from within it’s vicinity. Due to enemy forces in the area and positively identified civilian activity in the town, attack from the air is not an option. Instead infiltration by sea from the north will be our best bet at finding and eliminating the enemy in the town. Additionally, an SLA enemy base sits within 600 meters of Peregrino with its attention drawn to the south-east towards our friendly forces and so our assault is to be coordinated with friendlies in order to avoid a bigger fight. The purpose of this mission is to allow Marines to have adequate air superiority in that region of Paraiso.
Mission
- Infiltrate the town of San Peregrino from the north and eliminate the Anti-Aircraft threat.
- Collect any tangible intel.
Ocean Shade OP-04
Situation
Following last week’s successful assault on Peregrino, which led to an unplanned offensive on a military base just south of the airfield, U.S. Marines are now working diligently in an effort to clean the southern cities of Paraiso. In a matter of a few days an advance will take place on the city of Corazol by friendly forces and a newly discovered military compound hidden behind Sierra Madre mountains is believed to have a large amount of supplies and equipment stored for the SLA. Team must infiltrate the compound and dispose of enemy equipment in order to facilitate the up and coming friendly advance.
Mission
- Primary Objective – Infiltrate the military compound hidden behind the mountains and dispose of any enemy supplies/equipment found.
- Secondary Objective – Detonate an explosive charge underneath the bridge just north of the first objective (See Intelligence).
Ocean Shade OP-05
Situation
Following a successful assault on the airfield by the MEU which led to the capture of Paraiso, an unknown number of SLA fighters still left on the island took several hostages in a government building just north of Cayo. The team’s previous attempt at destroying the military compound was completed by coalition air strikes. The enemy inside the building is demanding safe passage by Ural transport trucks to Bagango and are threatening to kill the hostages. US Marines are currently positioned defensively alongside the MSR south of the objective.
Mission
- Primary Objective – Infiltrate the building from the rooftop. Assault and eliminate all enemies inside without bringing harm to the hostages.
Ocean Shade OP-06
Situation
As fighting continues in Corazol, friendly forces and Carrier Air Wing 9 are beginning to push forward into Bagango. Over the last two weeks intel has been pouring in about a meet that is going to take place between SLA officials and a suspected middle eastern liaison for the Islamic State. The location is believed to be held at a remote military camp hidden in the mountains of Tres Valles. The liaison must be captured alive and brought back for further questioning.
Mission
- Primary Objective – infiltrate the military camp and capture the suspected liaison.
Ocean Shade OP-07
Situation
Intel found on the HVT last week points to a military facility north of the island in the secluded area of Roca del Dror. We have strong reason to believe it is being used as a training facility from which a large number of suicide bombers will be carrying out attacks on the island. In a coordinated strike with Carrier Air Wing 9, our team must infiltrate the enemy base and collect all information that may lead us to the identity of the suicide bombers and their targets on the island.
Mission
- Primary Objective – Infiltrate the enemy base and collect all information about future attack on the island.
Ocean Shade OP-08
Situation
We have received strong intel suggesting a meeting is about to take place at the Bagango villa between several SLA officers and representatives of the Islamic State. The intelligence community is watching very closely as this is the first time an important number of high ranking individuals will be in attendance under the same roof. The exact time of the meeting is unkonwn and as such our team is to infiltrate the area under the cover of darkness and proceed to a recon position until confirmation is achieved.
Mission
- Primary Objective – Infiltrate the area and set up recon position over the objective.
- Secondary Objective – Once HVT’s are confirmed to be inside, assault the objective and secure the HVT’s.
Ocean Shade OP-09
Situation
From what we gathered last week at the Bagango villa, an unidentified individual will be arriving at the Antigua airfield in the early hours of the morning. We believe this individual has strong ties to the Islamic State and is likely to be behind a highly sophisticated smuggle network into Europe. A three-man team will be tasked with SR of the airfield reporting back what they find. During this time the rest of the platoon will be investigating a possible lead in the town of Hunapu. Recent intel reveals major enemy movement in the town. It is imperative the town be thoroughly verified for any enemy presence and if so, the nature of their business. As the platoon will be operating on two ends of the island simultaneously, Fast Eagles will be investigating the town of Masbete. Reports from marines on the ground suggest a possible weapons/equipment storage facility is operating from within the town.
Mission
- Primary Objective, Antigua – Three man SR team is to establish an overwatch position on the southern mountains of the airfield and await arrival of the HVT. Take pictures and extract unnoticed.
- Secondary Objective, Hunapu – Infiltrate the mountain peak at Monte Acequero and
- Tertiary Objective, Masbete – Fast Eagles are to conduct aerial reconnaissance over the town of Masbete to further identify what type of weaponry and or equipment is being held.
Ocean Shade OP-10
Situation
Following two successful reconnaissance missions we have positively identified the individual as Ali Hassan who is in fact behind a highly sophisticated smuggle network of enemy foreign fighters into Europe. The reasons for his visit are unknown, however we believe something big is being planned with top-tier SLA officials. Intel gathered at Hunapu shows large supplies being transported on ATV’s over the mountains towards a military camp north of the town. Our initial analysis of the situation leads to to believe that the HVT is currently in the camp and will be travelling in a convoy to a near town for unknown business. It is imperative the team intercepts the convoy and captures the HVT alive. Meanwhile U.S. forces have significantly crippled the enemy’s footprint on the island and have succeeded in isolating the SLA’s presence in central and northern territories of the island.
Mission
- Primary Objective – Infiltrate the forest and secure the checkpoint in preparation of the convoy.
- Secondary Objective – When convoy reaches the checkpoint, intercept and capture the HVT.
Ocean Shade OP-11
Situation
As U.S. forces were conducting routine searches in central Bagango, a USMC patrol vehicle was ambushed by SLA combatants believed to have been disguised as civilians. When our forces reached the scene, three of the four men were found dead. The fourth, Sgt. Maurice Greene, was spotted being carried unconscious away from the wreck. Intel from locals pinpoint the town of Eponia as the place where Sgt. Greene is being held captive. Eponia neighbours an SLA military installation within a short distance and therefore our team is to infiltrate the town and reach Sgt. Greene’s position rapidly before our presence is known.
Mission
- Primary Objective – Infiltrate the town and reach Sgt. Greene’s location.
- Secondary Objective – Evacuate Sgt. Greene to extraction LZ “Bravo”.
- Tertiary Objective – Destroy the bridge leading west of the military installation.
Ocean Shade OP-12
Situation
Ever since we captured Ali Hassan at the road checkpoint two weeks ago (See WARNO), our interrogators were able to collect information regarding a recently acquired 9M79 codename “Tochka” ground to ground short range ballistic missile. We now have reason to believe that the missile system has been modified to equip a tactical nuclear warhead and is intended to be used against our carrier strike group located near the island of Rahmadi. The missile system is being stored on “Isla del Vassal” right at the heart of the island surrounded by two enemy encampments, one to the north and another to the south. Additionally the neighboring island “Isla del Vida” just west of the objective has a fairly large military installation. Our team’s priority is to infiltrate the warehouse and secure the missile system and the nuclear warhead.
Mission
- Primary Objective – Infiltrate Isla del Vassal undetected and reach the warehouse. Secure the Tochka and any nuclear devices found on site and maintain defensive position until both islands have been secured.
